DESERT AND I WE BECOME ONE

You put me in scorching heat
I make a friend out of Sun
Force me in a boundless desert
Desert and I, we become one
Birds of carrion over me
I lend them my shoulder to sit
Wind crashes on my face
I just try smiling at it
Sands rise to engulf me
I just let them embrace tight
And the night is so very cold
But I pass it and wait for light
Remember, but, the day approaches
I already see many a trace
As a war ensues between our forces
Once again we’ll be face to face
With me, will be the Sun and the sands
Birds of carrion and their seeking eyes
The cold, the winds and the night
Deathly heat and ruthless skies
And then we battle in this desert
You, to me, once, here, threw
These all are my mates now
You just have your men with you
